𝗕𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗗𝗢

 

𝗕𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗗𝗢

Have you ever felt that whole others are constantly achieving something or the other, checking off something from their to-do list, you are not? Do you feel the need to achieve more milestones in your life? Are there some things that you have been wanting to achieve for quite some time, you see people around you achieving them, but those things remain elusive for you? For example – weight loss, a competition, a financial investment or any other goal. Many times certain thoughts cross our mind such as ‘it is impossible to regulate my diet’, ‘I just cannot exercise or meditate’, ‘it is impossible to get up early in the morning’ etc. These thoughts crop up when we read, see or hear the importance of these things.

The truth is that we all know what is good for us and have wonderful goals set in our minds. Our intentions are great, our knowledge is good but unfortunately we do not know how to manifest these goals. The following steps can help you inch closer to your goals:

𝑮𝒐𝒂𝒍 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒇𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔; 𝒂 𝒋𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚: Define your goals into smaller sub- goals along with the action items. Write them down. Goals manifest sooner when they are visualized and realized with the price to pay. Nothing comes free. For example, if your goal is to lose weight, then write down the specifics. Goals must be realistic and achievable. So, you can write that I want to lose 12 kgs in 3 months. For that, I will get up early at 5am, do rigorous exercise for 1 hour every morning from 6 am to 7am, practice Yoga and Meditation from 7 am to 7.30am, eat balanced and nutritious meals (make your complete meal chart with calorie counts and frequency). This is the price that you will pay to achieve you goal. The more specific a goal, the clearer the visualization and easier the manifestation. Enjoy the process and journey and do not be desperate to reach the destination.

𝑱𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕: We often hesitate and think too much before starting something. Just take the leap of faith and take the first step. The path will be paved for subsequent steps. Once you take the initial step, your body, mind and soul will align themselves towards achieving your goal and make it a reality.

𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈: Positive self-talk is crucial for success. Keep motivating yourself with pep talk and positive affirmations such as ‘I can do this’, ‘I will succeed’, I am born to be happy and experience the best in life’, ‘I deserve good health and happy relationships’, ‘I am very peaceful and content in life’, ‘Everybody respects and loves me’ etc. You can go a step further and repeat positive affirmations according to your goals in life, such as – ‘I am financially wealthy’, ‘I am rich and healthy’, ‘I am fit and active’. These affirmations are actionable, doable and will help you inch closer to your goal.

𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒆𝒇𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔: Always keep your goal in mind and make it a daily habit to inch towards your goal every day. Rather than fretting about your goal and being desperate to achieve it anyhow, create a system of habits and routines around your goal. Start enjoying the small action items and integrate your positive self-talk with it. So, for example, if your goal is to lose weight and your sub-goal is say to get up early and exercise more, then keep affirming yourself – ‘I am an early riser’, ‘I love to exercise’, ‘I enjoy doing Yoga and Meditation’. This will motivate you to change your dietary habits accordingly, stop from pounding extra calories, using the stairs and walking more. Small steps like these propel you towards your goal that you thought was elusive and impossible.

𝑹𝒆𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇: Celebrate little victories. For every little achievement, say you lost 5kgs, reward yourself and celebrate your achievement. Being happy about something gives a signal to the Universe to give you more of it. Your little victory is a reason to smile and you must.

𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇-𝒄𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒎: Do not generalize and give up on challenges. Only when we fail, we rise up, try harder than before and succeed. Stop criticizing, condemning and complaining about yourself. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes and that is what makes us not only human, but also interesting. After a little setback, find a solution to get back on track.

𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔: There are many out there who can be inspired by your stories. A pat on the back, a listening ear and support of others can be a huge motivation. Find someone who is genuinely interested in your life and progress of your goal and can offer you’re his time and expertise to keep trying. This will increase your will-power and enhance your commitment towards your goal. Help usually comes from the most unusual resources.

Along with the above steps, hard work, sincerity, dedication, determination, focus, persistence, patience, will-power and a positive mental attitude will definitely make you a winner.
